Beitrag vor der Absage durch die Reederei im August 21

Die Vorfreude

Bei uns ist im Moment alles auf der Schiene und wir können das tun, wovon Göran seit seiner Kindheit träumt: Um die Welt segeln und dabei die Südsee überqueren! Ich war immer skeptisch, wenn er davon erzählte: 5 Monate weg von zuhause – eins ist klar, ohne Skype und WhatsApp und Internet würde ich sowas wohl kaum über mich bringen. Aber Göran begleitete mich zu meinen Sehnsuchtsorten Sibirien und Grönland, nun begleite ich ihn bei seinem Traum. Obwohl dieser ungleich grösser ist.

Wenn Göran etwas will, dann bleibt er trotz aller Hindernissen dran. Er brauchte Jahre, um mich auf einen Grosssegler zu lotsen, Jahre, um mich auf einem Schiff seiner bevorzugten Reederei einzuschiffen. Und nun wähle ich schon freiwillig diese Reederei für seinen grossen Traum. Er schaut nun jede Minute des völligen Relaxens «Verrückt nach Meer» und ist von einer solchen Vorfreude beseelt, dass ich gar nicht anders kann, als mich dem Berg von Organisationsaufgaben zu widmen!

U.a. werde ich natürlich den Blog: «Mit dem Schiff rund um die Welt» vorbereiten, damit ihr jederzeit «mitreisen» könnt.

Die Absage

Wir mussten ja damit rechnen und am 17.8. kam dann auch die Absage rein. Nun, wir verschieben und verschieben halt, bis es klappt. Aufgeschoben ist ja bekanntlich nicht aufgehoben! Und die Route wurde im November auch noch geändert. Anstatt von Monaco starten wir in Hamburg!

Die Abschiedsparty war schon so gut vororganisiert, alle Gäste eingeladen, so dass wir sie nun als Trost doch durchgeführt haben.

The anticipation

Everything is running smoothly at the moment and we can do what Göran has dreamed of since childhood: Sail around the world and cross the South Seas! I was always skeptical when he told about it: 5 months away from home – one thing is clear, without Skype and WhatsApp and the world-wide-web I would hardly be able to bring myself to do so. But Göran accompanied me to my dream places Siberia and Greenland, now I accompany him in his dream. Although this is much larger.

If Göran wants something, he’ll stick with it despite all the obstacles. It took him years to bring me on a tall sail-ship, years to embark me on a ship of his favorite shipping company. And now I am already voluntarily choosing this shipping company for his big dream. He now watches every minute of complete relaxation «Crazy about the sea» , a German TV-soap, and is inspired by such anticipation that I can’t help but dedicate myself to the mountain of organizational tasks!

Among other things, I will of course prepare the blog: «Around the world by ship» so that you can «travel with me» at any time.

The cancellation

We had to expect it and on August 17th came the cancellation, Well, we postpone and postpone until it finally works out. After all, it’s well known that postponed is not canceled!
