Görans Traum – aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben!
Einmal mit dem Schiff um die ganze Welt. Göran träumt seit seiner Kindheit davon. Und wie man weiss: wenn Göran etwas will, gibt er nicht auf.
Ich träume von der Weltumrundung zu Land und Wasser auf der Nordhalbkugel. Amerika, Europa und Russland bis an die Ostküste haben wir schon mit Auto und Zug gemacht. Über den Atlantik sind wir schon mit dem Schiff gefahren, es fehlte also nur noch der Nordpazifik. Aber das fiel Corona anheim. Und Göran sah seine Chance auf eine Weltumrundung auf der Südhalbkugel wieder am Horizont erscheinen!

Die Vorfreude
Bei uns ist im Moment alles auf der Schiene und wir können das tun, wovon Göran seit seiner Kindheit träumt: Um die Welt segeln und dabei die Südsee überqueren! Ich war immer skeptisch, wenn er davon erzählte: 5 Monate weg von zuhause – eins ist klar, ohne Skype und WhatsApp und Internet würde ich sowas wohl kaum über mich bringen. Aber Göran begleitete mich zu meinen Sehnsuchtsorten Sibirien und Grönland, nun begleite ich ihn bei seinem Traum. Obwohl dieser ungleich grösser ist.
Wenn Göran etwas will, dann bleibt er trotz aller Hindernissen dran. Also buchten wir die Weltreise der Phoenix Reederei von Dezember 21 bis Mai 22. Mitten in der heissen Corona-Phase, aber gebucht haben wir ja schon 1 1/2 Jahre zum voraus.
Die Absage
Wir mussten ja damit rechnen und am 17.8. kam dann auch die Absage rein. Nun, wir verschieben und verschieben halt, bis es klappt. Aufgeschoben ist ja bekanntlich nicht aufgehoben! Und die Route wurde im November auch noch geändert. Anstatt von Monaco starten wir in Hamburg!
Die Abschiedsparty war schon so gut vororganisiert, alle Gäste eingeladen, so dass wir sie nun als Trost doch durchgeführt haben.
Wir buchten natürlich wieder. Die Weltumseglung 22/23 war schon ausgebucht, also buchten wir für 23/24.
Göran’s dream – postponed is not abandoned!
Once around the world by ship. Göran has dreamed of this since childhood. And as you know: when Göran wants something, he doesn’t give up.
I dream of travelling around the world on land and water in the northern hemisphere. We have already done America, Europe and Russia up to the east coast by car and train. We have already crossed the Atlantic by ship, so the only thing missing was the North Pacific. But that fell to Corona. And Göran saw his chance to circumnavigate the globe in the southern hemisphere appear on the horizon again!
The anticipation
At the moment everything is on track and we can do what Göran has been dreaming of since childhood: sailing around the world and crossing the South Seas! I was always skeptical when he talked about it: 5 months away from home – one thing is clear, without Skype and WhatsApp and Internet I would hardly bring such a thing over me. But Göran accompanied me to my places of longing Siberia and Greenland, now I accompany him in his dream. Although this one is much bigger.
When Göran wants something, he sticks to it despite all obstacles. So we booked the world trip of the Phoenix shipping company from December 21 to May 22. In the middle of the hot Corona phase, but we have already booked 1 1/2 years in advance.
The cancellation
We had to expect it and then on 17.8. the cancellation came in. Well, we postpone and postpone just until it works. As is well known, postponed is not canceled! And the route was also changed in November. Instead of Monaco we start in Hamburg!
The farewell party was already so well organized, all guests invited, so that we have now carried it out as a consolation.
We booked again, of course. The circumnavigation 22/23 was already fully booked, so we booked for 23/24.
