Immer ein Ziel und einen Traum vor Augen!
Ich habe ein Ziel, seit vielen Jahren: Ich will in jedem Land in Europa gewesen sein – nicht nur drüber geflogen oder mit dem Schiff vorbeigefahren, ich will meinen Fuss darauf stellen. Seit 1989 ist das ziemlich viel langwieriger geworden mit der Zersplitterung der Bündnisse und es gibt noch ein paar Länder, die meine Füsse noch nicht betreten haben. Und mein zweites Ziel, die nördliche Halbkugel einmal auf dem Land- und Seeweg umrundet zu haben, habe ich vorerst nicht erreicht, Corona ist uns in die Quere gekommen.
Soviel Reisen bedingt eine grosse Organisation. Ohne Uschi, meine Blumenfrau, die meinen paar Dutzend Pflanzen zuhause das Überleben sichert, den Haushalt in Ordnung hält und wäscht, wenn nur ich unterwegs bin, ohne Debora, die unseren Briefkasten leert und zur Wohnung schaut, ohne unsere Freunde, die meinen zeitweiligen Strohwitwer-Mann zum Essen einladen und ohne Urs, unser Reiseagent von Crystal Travel und Freund, der uns, wo immer wir auch sind, mit Rat und Tat und Abklärungen zur Seite steht, ginge das nicht. Danke euch allen!
Always a goal and dream in mind!
I have had a goal, for many years: I want to set my foot on every country in Europe. Since 1989 this has become a lot more lengthy with the fragmentation of the alliances and there are still a few countries that have not yet put my feet on. And my second goal, to have once circled the world by land and by sea in the northern hemisphere, could I – due to the corona pandemic – not achieve.
So much traveling requires a big organization. It would not work without Uschi, my flower-fairy, who keeps my few dozen plants at home alive and the household in order, does the laundry when I am on tour without Göran, without Debora, who empties our mailbox and looks after the apartment, without our friends, who invite my temporary grass widow-husband to dinner and excursions and without Urs, our travelagent at Crystal Travel and friend who helps us with advice and clarification wherever we are. Thanks to everybody!
